The scientific activity of the teachers of the Private Law Department is focused on researching the priority areas of civil law and process, economic law and process, contract law, Roman private law, family law, corporate and business law, investment law, commercial law, environmental and land law, labor law and social security law, intellectual property law, current problems of civil law and process, current problems of economic law and process, legal regulation of insurance activity, legal regulation of electronic commerce, protection of corporate rights in court, legal regulation of commercialization of intellectual property rights.
Scientific research by teachers of the department is carried out within the framework of scientific and methodological sections: civil law and process; labor and social security law; economic law and economic procedural law The work of the sections is traditionally carried out in the following areas: consideration of proposals for the introduction of innovative technologies, the latest forms and methods of teaching, expanding the scientific component of the educational process, in particular during quarantine and martial law; updating teaching materials used in the educational process; determination of priority areas of work of sections in accordance with changes in current legislation and the requirements of regulatory documents of KNEU named after Vadim Hetman; analysis and improvement of methodical materials from educational disciplines taught at the department; forming the subject of coursework and scientific reports of the awardees; discussion of the methodology for improving the conduct of seminar (contact) classes and the organization of ongoing control of knowledge of learners using distance learning technologies; discussion of dissertation research topics; discussion and analysis of the most significant changes in the current legislation of Ukraine and the peculiarities of their consideration in the educational process; discussion of open lectures and seminar classes of teachers, generalization of positive experience; discussion of the state of scientific and scientific-methodical work of teachers; analysis and updating of the content of examination tickets for academic disciplines taught at the department; preparation of examination tests for conducting online examinations on the Moodle platform; analysis of the state of methodical support of educational disciplines and readiness for examination sessions; analysis of the degree of assimilation of the material by the students based on the results of current knowledge control; approval of schedules of individual work and schedules of open lectures and seminars; improvement of teaching methods at lectures and seminars; analysis of the work of student scientific circles and problem groups; improvement of work programs based on the principles that meet the requirements of the Bologna Declaration and regulatory requirements of KNEU named after Vadym Hetman; coordination of the work of teachers with applicants regarding the management of their scientific and research work; coordination of the work of teachers in preparation for the annual student scientific conference of the University; discussion of the results of the sections.

Kulaga, P.V. Kykot, L.M. Shatalova), economic procedural law (V.B. Marchenko ., Namyasenko O.K.), contract law (Vavzhenchuk S.Ya., Bohdanets A.V.), corporate law (Chernega V.M., Ilnytska N.F.), commercial law (Galiakhmetov I.A.), business law (Borsuk N.Ya.), family law (Bohdanets A.V., Vynogradova G.V. ), housing law (GVynogradova), intellectual property law (N.O. Bilousova).
Teachers of the department actively participate in organizing and conducting scientific, scientific and methodological conferences, round tables (in particular, the annual round table in memory of V.I. Sinaisky (organizer - Ph.D. Shatalova L.M.), student scientific conferences, competitions, olympiads.
