Research Work

Every year, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department participates in international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences, round tables, seminars. In 2019, the department's staff took part in the preparation of materials for a monograph on the general institutional topic "The Association Agreement of Ukraine with the EU as the basis for the development of its national legislation" (Section IV, subsection 2 "Legal regulation of financial relations in the context of Ukraine's integration into the EU internal market").
 
In 2022, at the request of the Department for the Execution of Criminal Executions, a monographic study was carried out on the topic "Formation of an optimal model of involving convicts in labor" under the general supervision of Professor, Doctor of Law Kuzmenko O.V. and Professor, Doctor of Political Science Shulzhenko F.P.
 
Under the scientific guidance of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Public and International Law, students and postgraduates of the Department participate in scientific events of the University (annual student scientific conference) and other educational institutions (All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in the specialty "Administrative law and process; financial law; information law").
 
At the Department of Public and International Law, the scientific circle "Current issues of financial law" has been successfully functioning for a long time under the scientific guidance of associate professor of the department Bohdan B. V. and associate professor of the department Nechyporenko O. Yu. The result of the functioning of the scientific circle "Current issues of financial law" is the participation of students-participants of the scientific circle in scientific events that take place within the Law Institute of the State Higher Educational Institution "KNEU named after Vadym Hetman" and beyond.
 
Since 2021, the department has been operating a scientific circle "Current Issues in Public Administration" under the scientific guidance of Associate Professor of the Department Shevchenko L.V.
 
The department also annually organizes scientific events dedicated to the All-Ukrainian "Law Week", in which students of the Law Institute and all interested parties participate.
 
Recently, the following dissertation studies have been defended by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department:
 
Ulozhenko V.M. - dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law "Legal Principles of Public Administration by Higher Education Institutions in Ukraine" (2021);
 
Bohdan B.V. - dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic "Administrative and Legal Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases" (2021).
 
The department's scientific and pedagogical staff participate in reviewing abstracts and dissertations, and act as official opponents during the defense of dissertations.
