A legal expert specializing in human rights, the rule of law, and advocacy for vulnerable groups, with a particular focus on gender issues and Ukraine. As a Professor in the Department of Public and International Law at Kyiv National Economic University, she integrates academic insights with extensive practical experience.
 
Since 2020, she has served as a national expert for the EU-funded Pravo-Justice Project, aimed at enhancing support services for vulnerable court users, promoting EU practices within the Ukrainian judiciary, fostering professional communities, and developing training programs and manuals for judges and court staff.
 
Her expertise extends to the analysis of legal frameworks, drafting reports, publishing articles, and formulating recommendations on legal and anti-discrimination and anti-corruption matters.
 
Dr. Bondarenko holds a Ph.D. in Law, with a specialization in Precedent Law Theory and Legal History. In her role with the Pravo-Justice Project, she has led initiatives such as the Court Volunteer Service and educational programs for judicial professionals, with a strong emphasis on gender-based violence prevention and civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS).
 
Her fieldwork includes protecting the rights of Ukrainian immigrants and beneficiaries of temporary protection, gained through her role as an expert with the Helpdesk Ukraine, Department of Asylum & Migration - Reception at Caritas International Belgium.
